Drum Affairs is a subsidiary of The House of Mcquitty (THOM).
It is a platform created by the House of Mcquitty, in order to Empower, improve and promote the Daily Art of Drumming in Africa at large, showcasing different unique talents in drummers.
The drum Affairs, which started as an online platform and has over 257 active drummers in participation from every part of the world, had her first online empowerment program for drummers early this year, tagged: “FORTRESS SESSION” and has since evolved from being an online platform to a real time gathering of drummers in workshops and concerts.
The drum Affairs 1st Edition was held in the city of Abuja, Nigeria, featuring one of Nigeria’s A list Drummer(MK STIXX) and had over a 100 drummers in attendance.
This 2nd Edition of the Drum affairs Drum Clinic has become the major talk in the whole of Nigeria, because The House of Mcquitty will be hosting for the first time in the history of Drumming in Nigeria An American Drummer( JAYLEN MOORE) in the city of Lagos Nigeria alongside Nigeria’s A list and most relevant drummers

And a major appearance by a major band from the USA.
The 2nd Edition of The Drum Affairs 2019, is such that has never been seen nor attended before and a lot of intriguing and fascinating activities will be taken place. And we will be focusing on music aspects such as:

2. The art of performance
3. Improvisation (The art of Soloing)
4. How to build a sustainable brand as a touring, recording and teaching drummer)
5. How to take your talents from the potential stage to the kinetic stage
6. How to get gigs and maintain lasting relationships with Artists and bands
7. How to create and maintain healthy relationships with the up lines (mentors)
8. Steps to discovering your true purpose.
Just to mention few.
Our aim is to mentor as many young drummers as possible through our given platform and creating connections between our Nigerian drummers and major drummers from the foreign world, and as a results of this event, we will be given 20 drummers a free mentoring relationship with our facilitators and this will increase the growth and involvement of drummers in social responsibilities in our society.
