The music industry of recent years now allows its women to shine as much as men do.
Hence, our females in the industry are always ready to impress and burst our heads with their beautiful melodious sounds.
Over the years, Simi has been known for her passion and hard work; as an oldie that she is in the music business, her artistry is close to perfection (for the sake of doubt, if not perfect) and top-notch.
On the 3rd of May, she wrote us a letter; in her letter, she mentioned that she’s been trying to tell a story for over three years but some limitations beyond her were stopping her from doing so. She further assured us, ‘Eureka’! she’s finally beyond those limitations, hence she’ll be dropping her album on the 3rd of June.
The third of June is here and the long-awaited album is at our hearings. Just like before, Simi did it again!
I woke up to jam this work of art early this morning and immediately after I heard the first track from the album, I mumbled to myself, “Indeed, Eureka!”.
The album is titled TBH (To Be Honest), it is an 11-track album of sound music and lyrical strength. Too much sincerity in her songs, yet she’s able to reach the heart of her listener.
With only three songs featuring Fave and Adekunle Gold and her daughter, Deja respectively (the 4th, 5th and 7th track), the rest of the album was purely her sound – too genuine and pure.
