There is a very catchy advert of “Golberg” tagged “Omoluabi” rocking the Social media platforms, Television stations and Billboards nationwide. The handsome, talented young man that played the character of “Ayanwale” playing the Iya-Ilu is so full of passion and excitement that attracts and keeps you glued to the screen throughout the advert, his name is Oladeji Oreofe popularly known on stage as Karkarkey.
He’s a graduate of accounting from osun state University and an MBA holder from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a percussionist per excellence with over 20 years of experience handling different kind of drums.
Karkarkey brand is associated with fusion of contemporary music with traditional percussion using drums like dundun, bata omele meta, sakara, jimbe, aago and sekere just to mention a few.
He has performed alongside big Artistes like Queen Ara, Beautiful Nubia, Bracabraca of Cameron, Femi Ajayi and also performed in different events and churches, he’s passionate about returning the culture back to the churches with different African drums and rhythms. He’s a guest performer artiste on cable TV like orisun, r2tv and tiwantiwa.
Karkarkey’s band is associated with excellence in delivering electric atmosphere in different presentations all over the country.
Karkarkey is currently organizing an hangout event for his fans with special appearance of celebrities like Wale Ojo, Kunle Afod, Ara, Classic Gbenga, Saco, Mc Damola, Lala Dapo, Alabama Geogia, Molade Official (Airtel 444 Advert), Rotimi Salami, Dare Another Level etc.
We know how lagosians works from January to December and how stressful it can be ,so to ease the stress with no cost karkarkey started hangout last year after covid then for continuity and based on the love for his work and service to humanity in his own way he made it free again this year.
