Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, a well-known musician and songwriter who also goes by the stage name Iyanya, has admitted that the song he recorded with Kizz Daniel and Davido cost him a whooping N52 million.
He revealed it on Twitter while also expressing shock at how expensive song promotion has become in Nigeria.
Iyanya claimed that the sum he stated included the cost of recording the song “Like,” filming the music video, and promoting the song both before and after it was released.
The crooner of “Your Waist” added that N27 million was the least amount of money he had ever spent on a song, and the transaction took place in 2021.
But, he urged up-and-coming acts not to be scared by his disclosure because, in the long run, all they needed to do was be consistent.
